Diagnostic Imaging Veterinary Nurse
Elise joined the Diagnostic Imaging team in 2015. She has her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (Highest Achieving Student) and Diploma in Equine Skills (Highest Achieving Student). She runs the advanced imaging modalities such as MRI and scintigraphy and is responsible for overseeing all other imaging. Prior to this, she worked for many years in the Thoroughbred racing industry as a trackwork rider both in Australia and abroad, and as a stud groom in New Zealand. Before joining the university, Elise was an English language teacher in Paris. She now enjoys the opportunity to both teach and work with horses. In her spare time, Elise spends time with her rescue cat Matilda and feeds ample carrots to the teaching horses with a particular affection for Mapootou!
