Don’t Doctor Google; 🎧listen and learn with the Ultimate Equine Podcast!
CEC Vet Dr Nicolle Symonds created The Ultimate Equine Podcast in 2021 and recently published the 30th episode! Nicolle is passionate about educating horse owners by providing an informative resource that explains common issues affecting horse owners. We know it can be hard to retain all the information your vet provides when they visit, and many refer to Dr Google, but now you have a great information source in one easy-to-find place. Nicolle believes that a healthy horse involves a collaborative approach with farriers, physiotherapists, coaches, riders… you will hear this with the many guest speakers involved in the podcast.
Nicolle is an integral part of CEC and a great example of working her way up through the ranks! Nicolle originally joined the team for a 12-month internship. After this, Nicolle completed her residency training and master’s degrees under mentor Dr Robin Bell. She briefly left to work a private practice in Victoria, gaining valuable experience servicing clients from sport horses and racing to pleasure horses and miniature ponies. Nicolle re-joined the CEC team as a Registered Specialist in equine sports medicine and rehabilitation; she is our go-to for all things lameness and performance issues related.
